Partnership to boost sale of sanitary pads

CPL chief executive officer Navin Raju said they are pleased to announce this partnership with a female led and owned social enterprise, Queen Pads, as part of its SME support program through the CPL Foundation.

“As part of our vision to make a healthier and better Papua New Guinea, we are proud to support such innovations like Queen Pads for accessibility where PNG is known to be isolated,” he said.

We will be supplying Queen Pads in all our City Pharmacy outlets throughout the country.”

He said CPL is proud to partner with local SME supplying locally made product to help young girls and women in the rural areas access to basic health product help women minimise health risks and working with SME like Queen Pads Products Limited will paved the way forward.

Queen Pads Products Limited chief executive officer Anne-Shirley Korave said about 80 per cent of women in rural areas do not have access to hygienic sanitary pads hence having partnership with firm like CPL is a perfect way forward having more than 5000 users networking in 11 provinces across the country.

She said this is where Queen Pads has the niche market.

“We are a social enterprise and so, we practice commerce with a conscience when designing this innovation for durability and accessibility,” she said.

“The reusable cloth sanitary pads are made of durable, environmentally friendly and gentle cloths that can last for up to five years and it’s useful for the female folks.

“The product is proudly PNG made and there are costs saving benefits attached to this product.”

Queen Pads was established in 2018, as an alternative for rural based women to access durable sanitary pads for their health and hygiene.
